Installation

The installation process for the app is straightforward and follows the standard procedure. The app is publicly available on the Shopify app store, which can be accessed at https://apps.shopify.com/. To install the app, simply click on the "Add app" button.

Once you click the "Add app" button, you will be redirected to the app installation page. From there, click on the "Install app" button to initiate the installation process.

After a successful installation, you will be able to see the homepage of our app.

Get started

After installing the app, it automatically creates default templates and applies default settings. This means you can start printing right away by accessing the printer and generating the first PDF.

The app's print page can be directly accessed from various Shopify pages, ensuring easy accessibility whenever you need it. To access the print pages:

  • Order list: Shopify > orders
  • Order view: Shopify > Orders > View
  • Draft list: Shopify > Orders > Drafts
  • Draft view: Shopify > Orders > Drafts > View

If everything is functioning correctly, you will see a view similar to the image below. Simply click on the "Print" button to generate the PDF.

Where to go next

Next, you may want to customize the PDF templates. During the installation process, the app creates default templates, but if you don't need certain documents, you can easily delete unnecessary templates to keep things organized. You can always create new templates later when needed.

To start customizing templates or try different PDF template designs, follow these steps:

1. Go to Shopify Admin and click on the search bar, then click on the "Apps" button.

2. Look for "PDF Printer" and click on it.

3. From the PDF Printer menu, select "Templates."

4. Click on the template you want to customize.

5. To open the template in the Oxilayer Editor, click on "Open editor."

The Oxilayer Editor will load in full-screen mode, allowing you to make changes to the template. You can exit the editor by clicking on the "Back" button.

For more information on the functionality of the Oxilayer Editor, please read the article "Customising PDF Template".
